Jacob is a multi-faceted Business leadership and development professional with over 40 years of experience in International corporate leadership, building successful businesses, governance, finance, insurance, Human Resources management, including Transformation, Logistics, Marketing, and Empowerment products. Prior to joining the energy sector in 1978, Jacob worked in various Parastatals. He joined the Oil industry 38 years ago as a Reseller Sales Representative for Shell and BP Zambia. Jacob has enjoyed an illustrious career in the Oil industry. He has held several senior managerial positions in BP Zambia Ltd, inter alia including Marketing Manager, National Distribution Manager, Area Sales Manager (N&S), Retail Development Manager, and Manager Administration. Jacob was appointed Independent Senior None Executive Director to the Africa Bank Corporation Holding (ABCH) Board on 03 November 2017.

Jacob was a member of the London-based Strategy Development and Implementation Team on BP Oil Africa Business restructuring in Anglophone and Francophone countries, which resulted into the move by the BP Africa Regional Office from London and Paris to Cape Town South Africa. Jacob joined the BP Oil Africa office in London and was later transferred to Cape Town as Senior Manager Administration and Government Affairs for all BP Oil Africa operations. Jacob has spent considerable time working overseas both on short and long-term assignments for the BP Oil Group Offices in London and BP Amoco in the United States of America and other countries. He was the first Black Expatriate Managing Director of BP Namibia; Team Leader to negotiate with the Angolan Government for BP’s entry into Downstream business activities and acted as a support lead for SONANGOL and Government for Upstream business entry into Angola; He was also appointed as General Manager BP Southern Africa in charge of Administration and Implementation of Government Policy on Affirmative Action, and Employment Equity based in Cape Town; Regional Human Resources Executive Director for BP Oil Africa, Regional Executive Director Corporate Affairs in BP Oil Africa responsible for Corporate brand image, Corporate social investment, Government lobbying, information communication, and Corporate governance; Senior Policy Adviser for BP Amoco Africa. Jacob was an Executive Board Director of BP Southern Africa, comprising South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, and Botswana. He was also an Executive Board member of the SAPREF Refinery in Durban, South Africa, the biggest Oil Refinery in Africa.

Jacob is currently the Chairman of Puma Energy Zambia plc and has held several prestigious Board positions including Director of Workmen’s Compensation in Zambia, Chairman of BP Zambia Plc as well as BP Botswana PLC, Chairman of Marsh Zambia Ltd, Chairman of Alexander Forbes Zambia Ltd, Senior Adviser to Commonwealth Business Council and a member of Zambia International Advisory Business Council, Chairman for Tourism Task Force, and the Triangle of Hope. Chairman of Tourism Council Zambia, Chairman of Barclays Bank Zambia PLC. The former President of the Republic of Zambia, HE. Levy Patrick Mwanawasa appointed Jacob as Chairman of the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission and Citizen Economic Advisory Council. His Excellency the former President of Namibia Sam Nujoma appointed him as Director of Namibia Energy National Council responsible for policy and energy regulations, National Chairman of Namibia Petroleum Industry Association, Director of Private Sector Fund Namibia responsible for empowering rural women through micro-lending. Jacob was also appointed by the South African Government as a member of the First South African Task Force to develop the Black Economic Empowerment Charter in the petroleum Industry. Jacob brings with him a wealth of experience to the ABCH Board. He is the Loans Review Chairman and a member of the Risk & Audit Committee.

Jacob holds a BA degree in Economics, a Diploma in Effective Chief Executive from the Irish Institute of Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Finance Management from Dameline College of South Africa, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Strategy Management from Buckinghamshire University College, an MBA from Buckinghamshire University College, Senior Executive Strategic Management Program from the London Business School, Certificate in Beyond Commonwealth Management Expertise. He is also an Alumni Member of the London Business School.

Jacob Sikazwe is a business Entrepreneur who owned Mwiza corporate Lodge, Mwiza Hotel in Lusaka, and Courtleigh Guesthouse in Cape Town- South Africa of which he was the sole owner and Managing Director. As a corporate person, he is passionate about business strategy and good governance; he is hard-working and creative, environmentally sensitive, drives performance, and leads from the front. He believes in rapid execution. In addition to the above, He is also President and Shareholder of SARI Consulting Zambia Limited (A Management and Engineering Consulting Firm) from 2015 to date.

Jacob Jones Sikazwe is the main role player and one of the owners of World Panel Zambia Limited, a private company limited by shares, registered, incorporated, and operating in Lusaka, Zambia. World Panel Zambia Limited has been in operation since 2014. It is focused on providing quality solar energy products in Zambia as well as the COMESA region.
